Q: What is Ride-On Tyre Protection System?
A: Ride-On (TPS) is a high-tech tyre sealant specially formulated to prevent leaks, seal punctures, and extend tyre life. Ride-On (TPS) is designed to permanently seal most punctures in the tread area of the tyre from nails, screws, thorns, road debris – any perforating object up to 1/4" (6.35 mm) in diameter. Ride-On (TPS) tyre sealant also eliminates porosity leaks and reduces the rate of detrimental oxidation reactions inside the tyre. Ride-On (TPS) helps your tyres maintain proper inflation and run cooler – the result of constant air pressure and heat reduction mean increases in tyre life of 25% or more (of course, this is critically dependent on how and where you drive your vehicle). Another benefit of using Ride-On (TPS) is that it stops slow leaks the moment they start, helping tyres stay properly inflated, and last longer. A vehicle equipped with Ride-On tyre sealant will benefit from better handling, better fuel economy, longer lasting tyres, and most importantly, a safer ride.
Q: Who are some of the users of Ride-On (TPS)? A: Inovex Industries takes pride in providing the most advanced tyre sealant formulas available on the market. Ride-On (TPS) is the result of more than 11 years of research and rigorous field testing. It has been tested and used by the military, United Nations, Postal Service, police and fire departments, construction companies, commercial fleets and independent testing laboratories. Ride-On (TPS) tyre sealant has been proven effective in the most demanding situations.
Q: What is the effect of Ride-On (TPS) on tyre life?
A: Ride-On (TPS) tyre sealant extends the life of the tyre by 25% or more. Heat caused by friction and amplified by underinflation is one of the primary causes of tyre failure. As tyre temperature increases, the rate of oxidation and subsequent polymerization resulting in stiffness and chemical degradation of a tyre also increases. Ride-On (TPS) coats the inner surface of a tyre with an inert liquid layer that absorbs heat from the tread surface and conducts it to the thinner sidewalls which can dissipate it more effectively. This layer of Ride-On (TPS) also helps eliminate porosity leaks and reduces the rate of detrimental oxidation reactions. Ride-On (TPS) has been shown to increase tyre life by 25% or more.

1. Information About Flammability of Ride-On TPS as Related to Tyre Retreading This Technical Service Bulletin provides information regarding retreading tyres that have contained our Ride-On TPS tyre sealants. ide-On TPS sealants have been formulated expressly with notion that they should be retread friendly. They are easy to clean with water, and they do not mask injuries in a tyre, allowing the NDT machines to find all the punctures. The following information is pertinent for all of our customers and end-users who retread tyres. Read More »
2. Disposal of Ride-On TPS The following Technical Service Bulletin is in response to questions regarding the proper handling and disposal of Ride-On TPS. Read More »
3. Corrosion The following bulletin is in response to questions regarding the corrosiveness of the Ride-On Tyre Protection System (TPS). The ingredients that comprise Ride-On TPS will not damage the components of casings or wheels. Ride-On TPS contains corrosion inhibitors that protect steel, magnesium, and aluminum wheels and tyre belts against corrosion. Ride-On TPS also protects yellow metals like brass, commonly found in valve stems and cores, against oxidation. Ride-On tyre sealant can be easily washed out of tyres with water. It will not affect the future use of patches or other tyre repairs. Finally, use of Ride-On TPS may actually help preserve tyre casings, which in turn may make retreads last longer. Read More »
4. Ride-On Tyre Protection System Environmental Analysis The following Technical Service Bulletin is the environmental impact analysis of Ride-On TPS. A sample of Ride-On was submitted to a California State certified laboratory on April 5, 2004 for a Department of Health Services (DOHS) Bioassay – DOHS 1 Title 22 for Hazardous Waste (LC-50) Using Fathead Minnows. Based on the successful passing of this test, Ride-On, does not exhibit the California hazardous waste characteristic of aquatic toxicity. Read More »
5. Recommendation for Preparing Tyres Containing Ride-On for Repairs The following bulletin describes recommended repair procedures of tyres containing the Ride-On Tyre Protection System (TPS). In cases where a tyre containing Ride-On still goes flat, it is recommended that the following procedures be used. Read more »
6. The Ride-On™ TPS Commercial High Speed™ (CHS™) formula (“Ride-On”) is designed to coat the crown of the tyre (please see diagram below). The shape of the tyre casing and centrifugal force generated by the rotation of a tyre forces Ride-On to cover the inside crown area of the tyre. Ride-On is not designed to protect the outside 1" to 1.5" of a tyre's tread closest to the shoulder areas. The effectiveness in sealing punctures in the crown of the tyre is an estimated ...
